Elizabeth Maixner - Social Worker

Elizabeth Maixner brings a wealth of experience, passion, and dedication to her role as a Social Worker at Headwaters Hospice. Originally from Ketchikan, Alaska, Elizabeth’s journey has taken her across the country, living in Colorado, Ohio, and Florida before settling in Helena, Montana, where she and her family have become an integral part of the community over the past eight years.

With a master’s degree in social work and a background as a Director of Social Services in a Nursing and Rehabilitation facility, Elizabeth has devoted her career to supporting individuals and families during some of life’s most challenging moments. Her ability to connect with people, provide guidance, and offer compassionate care makes her an invaluable asset to the hospice team. She thrives when engaging with her community and is deeply committed to ensuring that patients and their loved ones receive the emotional and practical support they need.

In addition to her professional life, Elizabeth is an entrepreneur, having founded and operated Estella’s Bees Knees Co., a prenatal and postnatal product line. She also plays an active role in her family’s businesses, managing bookkeeping for her husband’s company. Her dedication to service extends beyond her career, as she volunteers in her daughters’ classrooms, serves on the Montessori school board, and is an active board member for her local dragon boat club.
